What you're authorizing
When a notary accepts, you'll get the exact itemized price — we only place a hold after you approve it. You're charged when the signing is done.
If the signing can't happen because of something on your side — you're not there, you don't have a valid ID, you change your mind, or the person signing isn't alert and aware enough to legally sign — the travel fee, plus card processing, is still charged. Your notary drove to you. The notarization fee isn't charged.
If it's cancelled before your notary leaves, or something goes wrong on their end or with your documents, you're not charged anything and the hold is released.

Before your notary arrives
- Everyone who needs to sign is present, in person.
- Each signer has a valid, unexpired photo ID whose name matches the document.
- The document is complete but unsigned — don't sign until the notary is watching.
- Count every place a notary stamp goes — including initials pages, and each signer separately. Two people signing the same notarized page is two notarizations, not one. If two documents each need a stamp, count both.
- Not sure of the exact count? That's fine — your notary confirms it at the appointment and adjusts the price with your approval if it's different.
- Not sure which notarial certificate you need? Leave it blank — your notary sorts it out at the appointment.
